This Privacy Policy explains how Hushh collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you use our App. We have designed Hushh to minimize the amount of personal information we collect and to process your files only as necessary to provide the features you request.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Account and Sign-In Information
If you choose to sign in to Hushh using Google or Apple, we may receive information provided by the respective authentication service, such as your name, email address, or account identifier. This information is used only for creating and managing your Hushh account, authenticating your identity, providing access to the App and its features, and supporting your account. We do not use your sign-in information for advertising or unrelated purposes.
1.2 Audio and Video Files
When you choose to process an audio or video file using Hushh, the selected file is transmitted to Auphonic, a third-party audio processing service, to provide the requested audio enhancement. Before transmission, Hushh may provide an in-app disclosure explaining that the file will be sent to Auphonic and giving you the option to cancel or continue. Only files that you choose to process are transmitted for this purpose. The uploaded files are processed temporarily for providing the requested service and are not intended to be permanently stored by Hushh.
1.3 Technical and Diagnostic Information
Hushh may collect limited technical and diagnostic information, such as crash reports, device information, or information about errors encountered while using the App. This information helps us identify and fix technical problems, improve App stability and performance, understand and resolve crashes or errors, and improve the overall user experience. We do not use this information for advertising or unrelated purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use information processed through Hushh only as necessary to operate and improve the App, including to authenticate and manage user accounts; process audio and video files that you choose to enhance; send selected files to Auphonic for audio processing; return processed results to you; diagnose crashes and technical issues; provide customer support; and improve the reliability and functionality of Hushh. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third-Party Services
Hushh may use third-party services to provide certain functionality. If you choose to sign in using Google or Apple, those services may process information in accordance with their own privacy practices. We may use Firebase services for authentication, crash diagnostics, and improving App reliability. Hushh uses Auphonic to process audio and video files that you choose to enhance. When you choose to process a file, Hushh sends the selected file to Auphonic for the purpose of providing the requested enhancement. Before transmission, Hushh may provide an in-app disclosure explaining that the file will be sent to Auphonic and giving you the option to cancel or continue. Third-party services process information according to their respective privacy policies and terms.
4. File Storage and Retention
Hushh is designed so that uploaded audio and video files are processed temporarily for the purpose of providing the requested functionality. Hushh does not intend to permanently store your uploaded audio or video files. Once processing is completed and the file is no longer required for providing the requested service, it is deleted from our systems where applicable. Because third-party services may be involved in processing your files, their own retention practices may also apply. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the relevant third-party services.
5. Your Choices
You control which audio or video files you choose to process through Hushh. Before a selected file is transmitted to Auphonic, Hushh may provide an in-app disclosure explaining that the file will be sent to Auphonic and allowing you to either cancel or continue. You may also choose whether or not to sign in to Hushh using the available sign-in options.

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through Hushh against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Hushh, our services, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we process information.
